EXU bumpers
Folks, my pal and your hero, old Nigel Shiftright himself (Phil Frank) is
searching for a pair of original EXU bumpers for his TC.
I know this is a tall order but if you can help, even with front or rear,
please let me know and I'll pass the word.....unfortunately Nigel is
something of a Luddite.
Tnx

As an adjunct to this search, and feeling quite certain that at least the
overriders if not the bumpers themselves must have been an off-the-shelf item
for the boys at Abingdon... I have discovered that the AC car overriders are
nearly identical to the EXU's. Anybody else on this wave length??

EXU Bumpers
I think the EXU bumpers and overriders are exactly the same as those
used a little earlier on the YT and then after EXU production on the YB.
The overriders were also used on the Ford Prefect but have no idea as to
whether the Prefect bumpers were also the same. Not a lot of help if you
are looking for originals but Jim Sullivan of this list had some
overriders cast in bronze and might be persuaded to do so again if there
is any demand. Terry

I have heard that the bumpers themselves are almost identical to a Morris
Minor

I've seen EXU bumpers on eBay a couple times in the last few months. I'm
sure they'll appear again, soon.

The MG logo escutcheon is a separate casting and is not part of the rear
bumper.

EXU Bumpers
A friend of mine is thinking of buying an original EXU but the bumpers and mounting hardware are missing. He is reluctant to buy the car because of the availability of the EXU bumpers. I told him I would put a note on the "list". Do any of the list members have or know where one could find EXU front and rear bumpers with the mounting irons?
Thanks,

EXU bumpers
I have the complete and correct rear bumper. But no front bumper at all.
