T-Fellows While on a TC trip this weekend with two people on board and luggage, the rear right spring on the TC gave way. The spring on the left has a nice slight smile shape and the spring on the left has a slight frown to it. The car is setting at a noticiable angle. (car unloaded) My options are: 1. Have my wife gain 100 lbs to even things out. 2. Buy new springs from ?????? 3. Have the springs re-arched, re-tempered, re????. To what specs. Dear Joe A well respected MG Guru Friend: Roy Jacobson, told me a year ago,that re- tempering does not last and tis best to purchase new springs. Tally Ho! Thom Collins

Dear Joe: We are restoring a 37 TA. All sources tell us to not bother with the old springs and start fresh. Moss-Naylor sells them and we suspect Moss Goleta does as well. You may consider replacing the rears as a pair since putting a fresh one with an older one may cause the opposite problem. Regards, Alan & Victoria Campbell
