I second the the statement made by Badger! If you own it you can do whaterver YOU want to do with it! Bob TC4956...........which will stand out from the crowd once finished! << In short, for most of us, T cars tend to appeal to the emotional side rather than to the rational - as proof, I submit the tremendous affection with which this one very unoriginal but very charming car is remembered by so many people but there will always be those, with their Datson steering boxes and such, who just don't "get it". Badger - who gets it. >>

Yes that's true Bob. It's YOUR property to do with as you will. It is only hoped that that freedom will be used to ENHANCE the inherent character of the car and not detract from it. If properly done, one's efforts will be appreciated in the fond memories of others and/or a 30K value. Badger

I don't think I saw a bog stock TC in my 4 NatMeets down there. V8's, datsun steerings, anti tramp cables and much more. You would had to have know Reid Miles to understand it. Do you still have your Tickford? Terry Sanders Oakland

I have been following this "thread" for the last few days, and am wondering why there is so much interest in this car, all of a sudden! I saw it advertised in Hemmings just about every other month for the last year or two for around $20,000, I believe, and it never sold......now, all of a sudden, it sells for $30,000 because of Christies hype?! Hmmm......I know who I'm going to get to sell my next car! Bob

Presicely! This is how landmark or legendary cars are created. Bob TC4956 << If properly done, one's efforts will be appreciated in the fond memories of others and/or a 30K value. Badger >>

No! You're both wrong! It's "A fool and his money are soon DEparted" (as in the case of this "famous" artist who owned that car). Bob

Actually, fools don't usually have any money - having spent it all on wine, women, and T series cars long ago. Speaking from experience, Badger

Remember, Christies collects a fee for selling out of the 30K. PTH

Actually, the real question is how did the fool get his money in the first place. Ron Simon --- mrbadger mrbadger@home.com> wrote:
