TA/TC diff bearings

Post by Frank O_ The Mountain » Sat Jul 28, 2001 9:42 am

Can some one give me a generic part number (SKF or ?) for the double row pinion bearing? The one that always fails! My pal here not interested in a tapered conversion, so we need not open that thread. Tnx Terry

Hi Terry - this is a long-obsolete bearing made by Ransome & Marles, a double row thrust race with two bronze cages - p/n 3/MDJT25. The modern equivalent which has steel cages and sometimes only 2 x 9 balls instead of 2 x 12 is the 3305. The good news is that I have a few of the originals for 40/$56 plus postage from UK. ocTagonally TCRoger
