Walter;
They spent a month in Sydney I am told, and should now be in England. He
said that he would let us know where and when.

Dear Everyone
This will be the last chance we have to connect with you all before we head
off to the ferry at Dover for Europe on Sunday. Hope everyone is well,
particularly our two mothers.
We did a second trial run in the camper over to Kent this week. We'd made
a few changes to the way we want to use the living section of the van. The
changes worked well.
During the 3 days we did some tourist things and looked up friends who had
come to Perth to take part in the 16 day vintage motorbike rally last Sept.
Sue and Nigel live in an amazing Victorian house in Strood near Canterbury.
We stayed the night with them and went to the birthday party of a friend of
theirs. Late night, lots of fun!
On the way back to Meonstoke we drove through East Grinstead and
Whilst in Kent we did a tour of Hever Castle. Tudor, so a few 100 years
later than medieval Warwick Castle we visited up north. Hever was the
family home of Henry VIII's 2nd wife Ann Boleyn. Lots of spicy details are
held secret within the walls. She was his mistress for 6 years before he
married her and then of course when she didn't produce a male heir he had
her be-headed1 Nice chap! Excellent life size dioramas and many original
furniture and fittings. There is a huge Italian style garden done on a
geometric plan complete with Roman urns and sculptures. This was added at
the turn of the century by the American radio family the Waldorf Astors.
They were responsible for bringing the building back to life. Also added an
Elizabethan style village in the grounds for guests! Amazing place.
We've received two more Mg car club invitations to take part in events
whilst in Europe. Luckily we have been able to accept as the dates fit in in
what we already plan to do. In 1993 we took part in a 3 day event in the
Blackforest area of Germany. The date has changed this year by a stroke of
luck and we have been offered a T-type car to drive in the events. Last
time we won 2 large trophy cups! As well we can camp on the island in the
river Murginsal where the motorkhana and concours events are held, as we did
in '93. It will be fun to met them all again.
The Pre-war MG group in Luxembourg have invited us to their weekend event in
early July. This fits in nicely after we return from Madiera enroute to
Holland,
We will be phoning Krishna once a week during the 2 months we are in Europe.
If you want to get us urgently please contact her and she will pass the
message on. Otherwise we will be accessing e-mail every couple of weeks.
Love to all, Arie and Deidre xxxxxxxxx

Re: harry pyle
I was pleased to receive a phone call from Harry a
week ago.
Much info as Terry mentions below. I believe he is
off to Europe in the coming week, attending MG and
antique rally events. Driving through Austria and
into Switzerland.
With luck I may catch up with him in early June if he
passes near the Frankfurt area, but if not he
mentioned he hopes to attend Beaulieu.
Regards,
DAI
