Charles
According to the Parts List published as Isssue # 3 in 1952, the
spanners are: BOX: 3/16" x 1/4" , 5/16" x 3/8" , 7/16" x 1/2"
Double-ended:: 3/16" x 1/4" , 5/16" x 3/8" , 7/16" x 1/2"
There was also a "Tappet spanner (Ring type)", but no size is given for it
(I assume that these spanner sizes are Whitworth, but the book does NOT
specify. The tappet spanner COULD possibly be metric, I guess - mine was
lost long ago)
Re. Greasing: FWIW, on suspension & steering, I always pump until FRESH
grease comes out of the joint, then wipe away the old stuff. As for other
fittings--
Water pump 2 or 3 strokes
Tach reduction gearbox 2 or 3
Hand-brake cables : 2 or 3
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Carl Fritz
