I was thinking about riding my bike down to Laredo, TX crossing the
border into old Mexico and maybe on down to Monterey. Has anyone been
down in that area of Mexico lately? I hear the crime is very bad in
some places. I've read Mark Sampson's ride report but it seems
further west than where I'm thinking about going.

TO ALL MY KLR BUDDIES WHEREVER THEY MAY BE. Sorry for the lack of NKLR
on my previous Navy post. I will now stand in the corner and hang my head
in shame for such an egregious affront to group policy.
A shame faced,
Buddy

Invitation to camp and ride.
After a 200 mile loop through the local back roads by my self the
other Sunday, I thought it would be nice to have some other
DP/adventure types to ride with. There were plenty of HD's and
cruiser types out, but they will hardly wave at me, and they can't
ride a rollercoaster gravel road. So.....If I threw out an open
invitation to enjoy my place (40 acres in southwest Mississippi) and
the miles of great roads in the area for a weekend, say April 17, 18,
who could/would come ? There is a dinky local hotel, but plenty of
front yard for campers and such. I'd ask everybody to be sensible and
respect my place, throw in a couple of bucks for a cookin' or
crawfish boil on Sat. nite, but other than that it won't be nothing
but fun, Come pass a good time.

Greeting all,
Yup, I'm a newbie.
Can anyone tell me the difference between a KLR600 and a KLR650. Excluding the age difference of course!

Hey All,
Although I love my KLR and have been an active member of this list,
I have to sell my A-15 California model. The bike is mint, and the
whole list of mods (suggested by this list of course!) can be seen
on the web page I built for it.
It has 9k miles with the 9k service mostly complete and with all the
mods, I'm asking $3500 firm. I'm going to miss it. It's a great
deal for someone looking for a KLR in awesome shape.

Hi all,
A quick reminder and a request..........next Saturday, the 29th is the next
Julian Tech Day. We'll start at 8:00 AM, as usual and Elden Carl will give
a set up clinic at 10- ish. Now for the request; Eagle Mike and Eagle
Manufacturing, along with yours truly, will be sponsoring a Carne Asada
lunch at Tech X. If you're coming up, please let us know so we can make
sure we have food for all.
Easy Directions: Get to Julian, CA via SR 78 or SR 79 or SR 78/79. When
you hit the only Stop sign in town, head past the Julian Market (westerly)
until you see all the bikes. That be the place. 2656 Farmer Rd. 760 765

Hi All,
If you haven't caught the latest correction to the date of Tech
X............it is truly happening on Saturday, May 22. not the 29th as
mis-posted earlier. Elden will lead an interesting and entertaining set-up
demonstration/discussion, Eagle Mike will be here with doohickey stuff and
things, the venerable Dr. Krok will be in attendance as well with samples
of his wares. AND, last, but not least, Eagle Manufacturing and
Engineering and Left Coast KLR's will be bringing you a genuine
south-of-the-border carne asada lonch . pollo asada, frijoles e tortillas,
too. We still need a head count so no one goes away hungry...........so
let us know.
remember, IT'S THE 22nd.
