I run 15W, and added an extra 1/4" of preload to the springs. Seems to work pretty well. NKLR forever! Krokko -- Dr. J. Christopher Krok John Lucas Adaptive Wind Tunnel Caltech MS 205-45, Pasadena, CA 91125

I run Thai Fish Sauce and used two frozen egg rolls for spacers. Works for me, and makes tasty snack whenever I change them! Never KLR! -- Z DC A5X A11X

I've lost my links and can't remember where to look for fork info oil. Sorry. Can someone help me out? I can't remember how far the full level should be from the top of the tubes, if that is with springs in or out, or if that's with tubes compressed or extended. My appologies for asking such a simple question, but my cool links are gone and searchng the messages didn't help. Lamar A14 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Pull the springs and bottom the forks. About 170mm from the top of the tubes worked well for me. -- Devon Brooklyn, NY A15-Z '01 KLR650 '81 SR500 cafe racer "The truth's not too popular these days....." Arnold Schwarzenneger, in The Running Man

i was thinking of changing my fork oil. problem is when i'm in the store, theres just 5w, 10w ,15w and 20w. i'm not sure about 25w. but then which one is for the klr. i feel that the front end is too light at 110km/h+ is there anything i can do? i was thinking of dropping the front by 1 or 1/2 cm. will that help? clint
