It has a Gen2 front rotor which required counter boring the caliper mounting bolt holes by 0.035". A SV650 Suzuki dual piston caliper was installed by mounting a Deville adapter bracket. It already had braided hoses and has a 250 Ninja front master cylinder. We will likely try with the stock master when we do this modification to Mike's Gen1. The intention was to improve the front brake but on a budget. I have been on at least two rides where 320 mm front rotors were bent in off road incidents so wanted to avoid the very large rotor. The rotor (used) was $57.99 off Ebay; the caliper was $24.99 off Ebay. The front brake appears to be about the same as a Gen2 or DR650 but have not done measurements as yet to compare. The front tire will now lock up on bare pavement with the used pads which came with the caliper.
