A friend of mine and this list, recently commented about somewhat detailed signature lines being a good thing on public posts; "so folks can know just a little bit about me (sender)." Many, maybe most of you, already have one. Anyone care to add/change theirs? Sounds like fun to me! My new one is below! <><><><><><><> <><><><><><><> Ron, I like signature lines too! : ) They tell me a little something about the person posting. I've been told they should not normally be over 5 lines long. How do you add your signature lines? Type the whole thing each time? With the frequency that my posts seem to end up in never-never land I'd been thinking about writing them elsewhere and trying to move them here so that might work. I'm still not very computer literate so anything that has "glitches" sets me further back than most. Bruce R. Porter FF/EMT ret. '03 KLR 250 '02 FXDX '06 XT 225 (wifes)

I use AT&T Yahoo as my high speed internet provider----To set up a signature line, you select "Options", then "Mail Options", Then "signature lines". Then save. Then it attaches to all emails I send the next time I go into the email account. Most like a similiar procedure with other internet providers. Should be able to go to 'Help' and find procedure easily. I have to use email a great deal at work, and sometimes my emails go to never never land too! So, after a few particular long and/or well thought out emails 'got wasted', Now, when I am writing one of those long, thought out emails, I copy and paste them to a 'word' document, as I go. Then if anything goes wrong, I have a back up, and do not have to start over or get all upset. A waste of time, most of the time (but only takes a little time), but when I need the backup, it keeps me sane! Hope that helps! <><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><><> Bruce, I use Juno and in the edit drop down box there is a selection for signature line. Once I've made and saved it all I have to do when writing an e-mail is put the cursor where I want the signature. Then I right click and select insert signature. It's pasted in and only when I want it involved. I don't use a signature line on private e-mails unless I don't think the receiver will know who I am. I try to remember to put it at the end of all my public e-mails.
