Whats the difference, And why do I need both?

Widgets are generally something that stays on your desktop and shows information, like a weather widget that shows current conditions, or a clock. You can have many widgets on a screen.

Apps are applications that you need to launch to get them to do/show you anything, like an email app. They just have a shortcut to launch them and you don't see any information until they're started (and usually taking up the whole screen).

Welcome to the modern world. It's nearly impossible these days to keep your info private. The only way to do it is pay cash for everything, and don't use the internet. Even then, lots of places require personal info for services rendered. The only thing you can do is hope nobody uses your information for identity theft, or get a Lifelock type thing. GREAT! SIMPLE & TO THE POINT. NEXT ? My Galaxy S-5 cell & Tablet 4  8.0 has internal & SD card expanded. How do these cards etc work? OOPS! Example: A few yrs ago I bought a new Mini cam, they said 24Gig. 8 internal and 2 slots for upto 8 Gig each, for a total of 24 gig. BUTT!
