fork seals removed with air pressure

Post by jwflower53 » Sun Oct 26, 2014 3:39 pm

We removed my friend's fork seals yesterday by compressed air to the valve.  Worked great.  We used a compressor but there's a Youtube movie showing it done with a bicycle pump. -JW

Just be very sure the clip is removed holding in the fork seals or you could make a nasty bomb out of your forks.  To remove any junk that builds up in the bottom of your forks, you will still need to separate the lower leg from the upper. Just passed the 5K mile mark on my Easy Rider ride. Dodging snow now just east of Steamboat Springs, CO.

It's Sunday and fall is in the air. Your riding days may be numbered for this year. Go out and make it a great day.
