I'm in the process of making wiring plug pin-out diagrams for the Gen1 KLR650 to post for reference. I have posted sketches of the pin-outs for the main wiring plugs under the instrument cluster and am now wanting to post pin-outs with wire colors and locations for the other wiring on the bike. I have photos of the main wiring harness on and off the bike with plugs and other main components identified as well as photos of specific areas on the bike similarly labeled and cross referenced by the same ID number. I'm hoping that someone with some/any drawing skills will help out by making end view sketches of the wiring plugs from my photos and sketches. The level of drawing is likely about Grade 4 art class as I am almost without artistic aptitude at all. Not under playing this as my aptitude is "3" on a Bell Curve. For those not aware, 50 is average. A simple task for almost anyone to make sketches which will be easily recognizable rather than mine which are horrid. Another set of eyes will also insure that the plug views are really recognizable by someone who has not just looked at them and made sketches. The intention is to have the wiring and electrical components on the bike shown on photos of the bike so that anyone can look up to find them rather than trying/hoping for a photo in a service manual. In addition, the harness labelled off the bike may help someone to further understand the wiring routing and relationships. The pin-outs show the plug with the wires numbered and a listing of the wire color and circuit. Following review, we can add or correct as necessary to make things more useful, especially for those not used to bike wiring. I'm intending to follow up with photos and similar sketches to show modifications such as how to disable the side stand switch and clutch switch. Things often done or needed to get someone going when they have a problem and perhaps can't wait to ask in a thread. Does someone have some time? Hey Norm Natural foods. Do you (SHE) know about the "Mother Earth Fair" (s) From Mother earth Magazine. Started a few yrs ago in Seven Springs Ski resort (SE of Pittsburgh) Now there are 4-5  NEXT WEEK is the PA show 3days? $25.Motels get pretty booked up, as do campgrounds but some areas still available.
