Forgot to mention, The Key I stash is for the bolted on rear hard case. (mine Pelican)

I figure, If i'm 100's of mile from hm. and my KLR key is lost or stolen, (In Helmet, coat etc.) 

Yes I can get hm with the KLR Key, but Most of my gear, tools, etc. are locked in cases.

SO I keep a spare for everything in the case that does not come off the bike, there for,....

 

I HAVE A, WHOLE SPARE SET STORED AND 1 SMALL key, STASHED.

PLUS, the 2 million in gold, for emergency money, or cold drinks. LOL

You can clip it to your rack then un clip it and walk away with it. It is waterprrof and you have a zillion options for attachment. I have used Fuerte many times both for myself and my company.
