I am selling my Honda Trans alp. Of course it is a 89, but it is in showroom condition. It has 4800 miles and is stock and has been garaged since new. I'm asking $4700 for it. I bought it for a trip that didn't happen last summer. I can help with delivery in the Southeast USA. Walt in Tampa, Fl 813 348 6321

headlamp bulb replacement

Post by Fred Hink » Tue Apr 15, 2014 8:28 am

The Gen2 KLR uses an H7 bulb for both the low and high beams.  There are several different H7 bulbs and so your best bet is to take the bad bulb to any auto shop and they can match up your bulb for about half what you paid.  I sell both the 55w and 100w H7 bulbs.   In an emergency, you can swap out the bad bulb for the good one.  If your low beam burnt out, you could take the good high beam bulb and use it in the low beam to get down the road or vice versa. Pulled the old bulb fairly easily. Wrong bulb. Back to the dealer today. 30 mile round trip each time. $20 for a bulb? 2011 has a two lamp system. Sent from my Sprint phone.
