flat rate times

Post by RobertWichert » Thu Jan 09, 2014 7:28 pm

How to estimate the time required to do a job: 1)    Guess how long it will take 2)    Multiply by two 3)    Raise to the next higher unit of measure Example: Change oil 1)    One hour 2)    Two hours 3)    Two days Sounds about right to me.   sixty8fury kindly set up a list of KLR labor times from my notes. He has them in both spreadsheet and PDF. These might be helpful in planning/anticipating the time required to undertake a repair. These are typical labor estimate times based on what would be expected from the average bike tech. Perhaps others could add other timed operations as a reference? It could also be helpful to post the time it took to do the first time, sort of newbie time in the next column as that might be helpful for some also. Oh, I can't see how to upload the files to here but it can be found under 'Flat Rate Times" on KLR650.net/forums HIH Norm                           "We've got no money so we've got to think."
