whos are sm engine guys? 14hp kohler. (nonklr)

Hey all

 

I picked up a 1976 1450 Cub Cadet (knowing) and the 14hp Kohler engine smokes ALOT!!! blue-ish white.

Hard to start, and stalls soon after.

Clutch cable- Yamaha 5X6-26341-00. This is a brake cable for 1983-84 YZ250 which requires that the clevis be cut off the cable. I've installed a couple and very pleased with the heavier cable and smoother action.   The discovery was accidental after clutch cable broke on my year old 2004 but was so pleased with the improvement that installed onto others' bikes. Takes some work but worth it, IMO.   The stock cable is 0.080" diameter and this one 0.102" diameter so no doubt about how much stronger and more resistant to jacket liner wear--- assuming similar materials.   HIH Norm
