chain longevity - mistake!
Going over my records I see I am on my second set of chain and sprockets, not only one as I had thought. The first set lasted from 24k to 40k, so the current set has only 11k on it. The sprockets still look new. No problems other than the visual kinkiness. Should I worry? or just clean it and keep riding? I think I'll ride, just not too far away.
I bought a torsion spring for the doo from Fred. Did not come with instructions. I suppose it will apparent once I get in there but I recall needing to drill a hole for this installation.--

Great article! Pretty much the same way I was taught in 1960 from an old National Flattracker on my , then new to me '59 Triumph 500. Every chain drive bike I've had since, get's the full treatment on finding the correct adjustment with a disconnect shock and a scissor or floor jack to hold it up.
Thanks for the link!

07 klr prices?
Well I'm selling my 07 for 2500, with new tires, chain and sprockets, front pads, big gun full exhaust, jetted carb, and few other goodies.

Hey All SO........... What's the average pricing on a stock 07? So far I see them going for MORE then they did 4+- yrs ago, when I got mine. ($2,100.) I just seen an 07 for $2,700. ("ASKING") with 13,000 miles, Pic's "looked good". and others for $3,800. NADA Says, AVE. $3,555 LOW $2,700. Kelly: $3,300 trade in $2,245 MONEY SAYS, Old STYLE IS... in demand. But DS/adventure is growing in general, so I expect them to HOLD (or grow) their Value.

The Torsion Spring comes with a web address for installation instructions. http://www.leftcoastklrs.com/Install_a_torsion_spring.htm If you look on the packaging of this spring, you will see the URL there. Contrary to what has been posted from a dot net site that won t be mentioned, I only sell (always have) the Eagle doohickey & torsion springs. Fred
