Is anyone here not posting there? I rarely check in any more over here, this was the GO TO before adv rider came along. Funny how you can actually consider some of this internet stuff "Old School", our kids kids will see this in museums. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Having heard so many things about invasion of privacy and similar, not to mention the pathetic begging for friends on the many "social networks", I opted out early, and like DD, my life seems to be rolling right along. I've been off FB for over a year now and life is better than ever. More people should try it. I think people like myself who ride KLRs are of a more independent mindset. We just don't go along with the crowd and ride Harleys like everyone else. There are just so many reasons why KLRs are a superior choice for those who think outside the mainstream. The Anti Harley. I'm not really against Harley's. They have a unique engine sound (heh) and lend themselves to customizing. I think the engines are the best looking in that style of bike (with the exception of S&S). I am just puzzled as to the lack of safety gear they wear and don't understand the no helmet or very little helmet. I have a real problem with the company itself that seems to endorse the no helmet....party, party atmosphere most of their riders adhere to. And they all seem to ride in the far right of the right lane which to me is the unsafest lane on a mutilane road. Or they ride in the center of the lane where all the oil is (I discovered early, early in my riding adventures). Criswell Sent from my iPad

LOL, I didn't know there was a KLR Facebook page. Oh yes, I use facebook near everyday to keep up with friends and classmates. I'm not anti any bike. As long as it has 2 wheels and moves the body and soul. An added note is I put the rest of the '07 Suzuki Bandit together today, put gas in it and it fired right up. Now attached to Battery Tender as my shoulder has a ways to go before I can wrestle with that 550 lbs. Just able to handle the KLR very gentle at present and on gentle roads. LOL! I'm sure my Doctors would really be excited if they knew I was back riding. Get to see the DR about what the next step is with the left shoulder Monday after 3 weeks of Physical Therapy on it.

That's what I did when I broke my foot. Don't tell them anything. If they don't know, they can't complain. Also, be sure to tell the wife that the Dr. Didn't say you couldn't.
