beginner kl650

EXACTLY (DITO) I will most likely take off soon to go to NC (750+- Miles) But by way of heading NORTH THEN EAST first, (4000 miles) And will be taking the KLR Instead of the K1200lt, just because I Love making "DETOURS" down Dirt roads ETC!! What it IS PERFECT AT doing, is..........Being the ALPURPOSE, JACK OF ALL TRADES bike.

Anyone KNOW? Years ago I heard, when you get away from the USA Border, that ya better know French. I'm looking at Crossing the border in Suite Sault Marie, and heading East, MAYBE passing near cities like Sudbury, & North bay, Heading to Maine? The only place you need to know French is in RURAL Quebec, and the occasional Acadian village in the Canadian Maritimes. But even then, I do fine knowing only about 30 words. The folks are really friendly as long as you don't come across as a dick. When are you heading out? Mark

English is spoken in all parts of Canada, with the exception of perhaps small towns in the Provinces of Quebec and New Brunswick. The subject of French language is a political issue in a couple of spots, but in Ontario and West of there, English is required, as in the three Maritime Provinces East of New Brunswick. DC DC
