petcock diaphragm failure and a.d.d?
I have struggled with...... TO CHANGE OR NOT TO CHANGE? That tis the Question.
What I KNOW! ......I, have seen 3 bikes that forgot to shut off the Valve during winter storage, and it not ONLY Flooded the carb, but then OVERFLOWED INTO THE ENGINE, THE WHOLE GAS TANK.
Some leaking onto the floor.
I ALSO KNOW! .......I HAVE A.D.D, (VERY BAD AT TIMES) So If I get a Manual Valve, and forget to shut it OFF, OR start in up with what little is in the Carb, and drive out into traffic THEN STALLLLL.
So, what I, do know, Is That Main factor in Many things I deside is ME!
Will I!, remember to do what as needed, when it is NEEDED.
PS. with more then 1 bike, sometimes one can sit a month or more even during Riding "season".
OR I forget to take it out of reserve, after refilling, and then "TRUST" I can push it until reserve is needed. OOOP'S
