moto mule

I got my Moto Mule one wheel trailer for dual purpose bikes last Thursday and put it together Friday. It uses a 28 gallon Rubbermaid Action Packer for a cargo box and it will hold my float tube for fly fishing, my tent, cooking gear and other odds and ends. My sleeping bag and two air mattreses go in a water proof Helen Two Wheels duffel bag which will ride on top of the Action Packer. This will eliminate the need to stack stuff higher and higher on the bike, which makes it very top heavy. The Moto Mule is a nicely engineered piece of equipment that is priced right. If you buy one, I would recommend buying the lighting system that Mike can provided with it. It is a professionally done bracket for a licese plate and includes LED lights and is easuly hooked up. She's (yup!) treated me supremely well for many years, but I have arthritis and its just gotten too hard to be fun. She was serviced, but will need servicing again (I haven't ridden for a while wishful thinking... I held on.) I'm 5'7', so it was lowered a little, and has a custom seat. I'm not offering for parts. She's been some of the best times in my life, I'd prefer she not go to the glue factory just yet. > > > > Price is negotiable. moto mule

I just returned from another camping/fishing trip, towing my Moto Mule. I have to say, it is the best KLR 650 accessory I have purchased over the years. It is designed to use a Rubbermaid Action Packer as a tub, and that works well, unless I want to take my inflatable kayak along. In that case, I have made a flatbed to replace the tub. The trailer is well designed and takes all the stuff I used to stack on my carrier and seat and transfers it to a lower center of gravity behind the bike. Great design at a great price.
