I laced up an 18" front wheel for my '99 several years ago. No more "side wind shake"; steering a tiny bit heavier and a 120/70 michelin street tire makes it really sticky. Michelin 130/70 17 on the back.
My '06 is stock and off-roadable, the '99 not so much.
