mikuni update

Post by RonH » Fri Apr 26, 2013 4:42 pm

Beautiful day today (after 3 weeks of cold - down to 11 degrees and even snow) so it was time do a fast dirt run back up in the hills. I dropped one more main size to 210 and lowered the needle from the middle to the 2nd notch based on some of my recent local slab riding. I don't see how it could get much better. First time I've had the opportunity to really do a power ride with a good combination of steep, twisty, rocks, ruts, kelly humps, washboard. The throttle response is like night and day from the old CVK, but what really surprised me was the low rpm power. It was unreal. Places where I would normally have been constantly seeking the right gear, I just powered on up through the range. No more lug, lug, chug, chug at 2,000 - just smooth power. This summer's rides are going to be a blast!
