rotax engines and husqvarna
Went to the bike in show in Long Beach CA recently and learned there (or
maybe it was in Cycle World) that the Rotax engines used in the new Husky
650 Terra and Strada is a massaged version of the old Rotax 650 single used
by BMW, which has purchased Husaqvarna if you didn't know. At some point
manufacture of the engines was delegated to a plant in Taiwan which has not
adversely affected reliability as far as I know. They make a lot more power
than a KLR engine. At one point there was a five-valve version of the
engine but I think most are four-valve.
KTM have never used Rotax engines as far as I know. ATK did.

first off NEVER EVER use Oven cleaner in a self cleaning oven , It Voids the warranty, for the cleaning part..
Being winter (22 degrees f)is a good time to HEAT the oven (500+++degrees for a few HOURS) I used the "Self cleaning" mode of the stove.
Crome racks MUST BE PULLED OUT BEFORE using it.
So I wondered HOW to "easly" clean the racks from burn on stains.
I remebered hearing about putting Pans in a plastic bag with, a rag (paper-towel etc) with Amonia on it and seal the bag over night.
i used about 1/8th of a cup, and we were both AMAZED at how easy it all wiped /washed off.
So the next day I did it with a few older Glass Casarole pans..AGAIN WOW.
I'm sure many have those old frying pans with stained bottoms,
CAUTION! I do NOT know YET what effect it will have on Non glass or metal handles, Some are "plastic"?

I like power. I like torque. I don't like skinny little seats
guaranteed to make you **ss through a straw.
Can I get a five valve Husky engine in a KLR 650 frame?
