ebay rear caliper rebuid kits for klr 650

Post by "The Terror" » Tue Feb 26, 2013 3:09 pm

Somehow my pads got wonky on me & I discovered that my piston has been acting as my brake pad? Ebay has a rear caliper rebuild kit that includes a new piston & all seals. It is shipped from the U.K. They have a disclaimer that advises people outside the U.K. to verify compatibility for the parts to make sure they are compatible before ordering. Is the U.K. KLR 650 different from the U.S.A KLR 650? They are selling in U.S. market so I am assuming they are compatible. Does anyone know for sure? Anyone bought this item off Ebay & used it on U.S. bike? Thanks. p.s. Fred do you sell a rebuild kit that includes replacement piston?

I wouldn't take the chance. Get a kit from from Fred or a reputable dealer. What year is your KLR? The brakes were changed between 2007 and 2008.
