Can anyone give me some suggestions on replacing my exhaust system on my mid 90 KLR 650. I want it as quiet as possible and hopefully not have to do any modifications. Thanks, Tony

Stock muffler off of e-bay. Hard to beat given what you are looking for. -- Doug Herr doug@...

Are you replacing a rusted out stock exhaust or an aftermarket pipe? The stock system is the quietest I've heard, maybe someone on the List who's gone aftermarket will sell you their original pipe. __Arden

eBay and search for a OEM take off... Sorry the stock pipe is the quiet one. No mods either to make the bike run right. My $.02 Dooden A15 Green Ape

Hello. I was wondering if anyone recommends a certain exhaust for a klr 650. I just bought it in the fall (i live in upstate,NY) and cant wait to get out in the spring! I am trying to find a exhaust that has a that low thug, but isn't too loud. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I recommend the stock system as the one least likely to annoy your neighbors and riding companions.

On this same thought, when you open the flow with an aftermarket exhaust, do you go to a large jet or a smaller size jet? Mike H.

Yeah drill about six 3/8 inch drill bit holes in the end and maybe chisel a few slices down that pipe in the silencer .... or take a cutter and cut out the end and remove the baffle a re weld like a friend did ..... or if you really wanna some noise, make me an offer on my Big Gun non muffler. This has happened to me, as well as to members of lists that I run. Usually, a change of password to you email account is all it takes to get rid of the spambots, or whatever they are.
