list advice

Maybe a good time to discuss this. Lots of newbies out there (and a warm hug to 'em all) hanging on every word of advice they read. Not chewing anybody out, or Thumpin'Thumping, BUT we need to make sure we don't mislead anyone. There's enough of us Old Farts & Founders to kind of ride herd on the recommendations: no blood no foul. I kinda think of the Hippoctatic oath: "First, Do No Harm". This list, and to a greater extent, the Moab Thing is a wonderful resource, like a floating tech session: we learn from each other's doing! It was a visceral thrill to see all the guys gather around Mariola last June; I feel a deep sense of honor and responsibility being a part of all this. In Milford, bikers are Evil: you guys and gals are truly My Tribe. {heavens open, sound of cherubs and angels singing, a tear in my eye] 'nn-TAY-eh! Fly free! There have been a few messages recently that are obviously sent by a virus on list member s computers. If you see a message posted on this list without a Subject or (No Subject) in the Subject Line with just a link as the message, this is most likely a link to Spam that is not allowed on this list. Those that send Spam to this list will be put on Moderated Status. Jean Luc Ascencio and George Bynum you are now on Moderated Status. Please clean your computers and let me know when you find your virus. Fred List Admin. http://www.arrowheadmotorsports.com [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

I saw one of those on a show bike Tenere at the International Bike Show. It struck me as poserish, but maybe not. In any event, if you have Nerf bars on your KLR you can hang your come-alongs there.
