ride weather????? (non bike)

Post by mark ward » Tue Jan 15, 2013 2:49 pm

Hey Rev. You said, "Nor, can you predict the beginning and end of winther." There is NO!!!!!!!!!!!! need to The beginning and end dates ARE A FACT. Just look on the calender, Starts Dec. 21 ENDS March 19, Thats what My lady says. (And woman are ALWAYS "RIGHT") Me being foolish says, It starts when the temps DROP, and SNOW, That I've SEEN in mid oct., and as late as mid april. (in the 60's to mid 70's early April is when Mich gopt the BIGGEST Snow storms. 3-4 feet over night and you could not see the house it drifted so high. SO.....When it's 20 digrees out and 2 ft of snow in Nov. or April.....(And you are slipping and falling on your tushy) It's NOT winter. HMMMMMMMM??????

ride weather????? (non bike)

Post by John Biccum » Thu Jan 17, 2013 5:24 pm

I'm in DC this week and it's cold! Just how cold is it? I just saw both of of my US Senators and both had their hands in their OWN pockets! Supposed to snow here in DC tonight, hopefully tomorrow I head home to Seattle where it's a balmy 37 degrees. That's riding weather with a Aerostitch suit, electric vest and grip heaters. Any Seattle folks up for a weekend ride? -----Original Message----- From: "Jud" Sent: 1/ 14/ 2013 6:33 To: "DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com" DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com> Subject: [DSN_KLR650] Re: Ride weather????? Hey John I have debated getting a "roadcrafter" I see they have Reg. Lite & Ultra light. Dio you have 1 suit for ALLLL year or 2? What gets you threw WINTER AND SUMMER temps? (80-90f. ++++?) I DO have the gerbing full Coat liner, A MUST at times.(& Heated grips) In the mountains, (Quick temp changes UP & DOWN) Or spring fall when starting out in the COLD and a little later it's hot. Instead of Pealing layers the RE adding them, all day just adjust the thermostat.

I have the regular Aerostich and I wear it summer and winter. It is cooler than my leathers in the summer and I can add more layers than my leathers in the winter. The leathers are actually more comfortable, but the Aerostich is more easily customized for the conditions. Robert Wichert P.Eng. I was waiting for the stock futures pitch, but all I got was nasty shots of Bangkok nightclubs and trash. Robert Wichert P.Eng. LEED AP BD&C +1 916 966 9060 FAX +1 916 966 9068 ===============================================
