a cure for the plastic choke thingy.
For all who have already suffered the dreaded plastic choke thingy failure
(and those of you who eventually will):
http://www.steadengineering.com/main.sc
These guys make aluminum and bronze replacements for the POS plastic choke
thingy. More importantly, they make a hand operated - no cable required
alternative. I love mine. One less thing to break, one less thing
cluttering up my bars, etc, etc, etc.

It comes in either Aluminium or Brass. WHAT!? No Titanium? I'm shocked.

Even the military bikes have the POS plastic too. Steadman has an aluminum
replacement for $27. I didn't realize that aluminum and $27 were so
exotic... I'll make you one out of paper mache for $3.

Gold is too soft and too flashy. Platinum is nice though.

idle problem fixed by changing gas and adding lucas
I was having some aggravating problems with my KLR 650 not idling well. It was going high and low--even dying. I got a tank of gas with not ethanol and added some Lucas injector cleaner. It now runs and idles perfectly. I'm amazed at the difference.
