ride to work day!

Post by agh19 » Thu Jul 22, 2004 7:45 am

I usually ride about 3 days out of 5 and rode yesterday. I saw a couple more bikes than usual on the road. I was disappointed that there were fewer than normal in the parking lot. Alan A13 --- In DSN_klr650@yahoogroups.com, "James L. Miller Jr." wrote:

Not to work though, only day off this week, ironically! The Strom is at 25,000 kms and running sweet. Lots of bikes touring through Labrador this year. KLR's, GS Beemers and even saw a Moto Guzzi 'Quota' the other day. Keep riding ! Steve

They had a HOG rally in West Branch Michigan thousands of harlys. maybe one or two of the fifty or so I waved at waved back. They are not to friendly to other riders. We hit some trails and saw no more of them. Dennis A18 if your going to ride one ride a Big Red 1 (or green or blue Barbie colored) [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

ride to work day!

Riding to work is the dumbest thread I've seen here! I even tried it two days this week....seems pretty inconvenient. First go to all the hassle of suiting up, out to the garage, turn the KLR around, fire it up, ride off, get up, lift the bike, open the garage door, start up again and ride off. After a couple of miles I have to turn around and do it all in reverse. Then change my clothes to shorts and short sleeved shirt, get my notebook and lunch, out to my truck which is parked in the driveway, hook up notebook, on with power switches, and drive off to see my customers. While riding first thing in the morning is OK riding to work isn't worth the effort for me. (VBG) Norm
