I rotated the shift lever clockwise like you did. Sorry, I had to think
that through a little better. I only moved it enough to get my toe under
it while standing. It's OK while sitting.
The magneto cover is grooved to suit the length of the lever, be careful
with extensions.

They are a little bit closer, but I found no problem using them. In fact, the shorter spacing works much better for me while offroading and standing on the pegs, even with my size 14/15 feet. You just have to get used to pivoting your foot in a different place. Z DC A5X A11X> Is it me or the IMS serrated foot pegs are too close to the stock > shift lever? It didnt take me too long to realize the standard pegs were a no go for any off road work - so I started looking at the FAQ.
It seems like the best deal going is going with the DR650 setup - which runs about $40 for both pegs and the hardware.
Any other good deals out there on pegs that fit well? I would love to order the Dual Star but they are a bit on the pricey side.

Quoting Sean Noll :
Call Andrew @ FSO and order the IMS SuperStock pegs, they rock! http://www.fourstrokesonly.com/Wide2.html They include return springs as well. Funny you should mention footpeg options, Sean. I was just trying to decide
whether to get the new IMS "Super Stock" pegs for around $80. I used to have
the Pro Series, which are a little more at $95, and appear to have the same
wide three-bladed serrated platform. What interests me about the Super
Stocks (beside being less expensive) is that the teeth appear to be less
aggressive. I found the Pro Series chewed up the soles of my footwear pretty
good. I'm hoping the Super Stocks will give the same stable sure footing
while being more forgiving to my sole(s).

I've been running the Suzuki DR pegs since '96 without any problems. They
slip right on with the stock KLR springs and bolts, just like they were made
for the bike.

And while were on springs...........the IMS Pro Series I had were fitted
with two different size springs. The smaller one was noticeably laxitive in
it's doodies. I heard IMS had a problem with their springs early on, and
hope they have it straightened out now.

PS: Aren't the DR pegs smaller than the IMS Pro Series and Super Stocks?

IMS must have had an excess supply of the smaller spring which didn't seem
to last very long. IMS was good to send out replacement springs for those
that broke. I haven't seen any of the smaller springs for quiet a while now
and the new IMS SuperStock pegs are coming with the larger diameter springs.
I have had a problem lately finding the IMS Pro Series pegs. I was told by
one source that the Pro Series pegs are being discontinued.
