a few electrical accessories

Post by Robert Kochen » Tue Sep 14, 2010 9:32 pm

I realize the alternator isn't large by most standards but I'm going to be adding a few electrical accessories to the bike. GPS, outlet for electric vest, possibly driving lights. I assume the battery is the best location to hook things up but a fairly tight space for more than one, maybe two connections. Any suggestions for a fuse block and good location to put it? There is a vertical bar under the wing fuel tank on the right front side of the bike. Good place to attach electrical blocks. Doesn't take long to access. This KLRista has some good pics of the area. Getting rid of the glass fuses and replacing them with mini blades. Was one of the best things ever. Jim Fortner Plano, TX

That cover is easier to get at if/when you need to replace a fuse. Definitely go with mini-blade fuses.   Don M
