Negating the fact of an Aluminum case - what would be the problem if it
became magnetized?

Then any ferrous particles would get stuck to the case or a bearing which I think would lead to accelerated wear and failure. Having the oil filter would hardly be needed as you could just wipe the inside of the case to remove the ferrous material. Then you'd also need an "other crap" magnet to catch sealant and gasket particles. Yeh, my gasket magnet is in the box with the muffler bearings, blinker fluid
and knooten valves. They're acutally quite easy to install with a left
handed screwdriver. Have you changed your blinker fluid lately?

Oh boy, Harley bashing!!! Do you know why there are so many sighs on the
freeway for the nearest Harley dealer? Thats so the riders know how far
they have to go to replace the parts that have fallen off.
