#ygrps-yiv-874462281 p {margin:0;}Idol != idle.  :-) A high idle could be the symptom of a couple of things. 1. Sticky butterfly/Cable/etc.  "Blip" the throttle... does it return to normal?  If so, take some w-d and lube the exterior parts of your throttle linkage.  Lube/replace throttle cable. 2. Sticky choke.  Work the choke on and off a few times.  Does this fix it?  If so, repeat process listed above, but on choke linkage. 3. Clogged pilot jets.  I know this sounds counter-intuitive, but if your pilot is plugged and you've compensated by raising the idle beyond where it should be, this can cause all sorts of weird idle issues.  If this is the case, when you blip or rev the bike, the engine speed will "coast" back to idle, rather than returning quickly. 4. Least likely, but still possible... vacuum leak.  Spray some starter fluid or carb cleaner around the carb area (but not around the airbox)  Does the idle increase?  If so, find and plug the leak, then re-adjust idle. When adjusting the idle, do it with the bike fully warm and set it about 1,100-1,250 RPM.  I cannot stress this enough.  If you set the idle on a cold bike, it will be way too high when warm. A little more information will help isolate it for you. -Jeff Khoury
