K&N makes gauze type air filters and regular paper oil filter. Did you mean
the stainless steel K&P oil filters? I have used a K&P oil filter longer
than anyone on this list. In fact I am using the same element for about 7
or 8 years. It works great and has paid for itself many times over.

Yup, me too. It was a bit expensive, but the convenience alone is well worth the money. Then, there's the improved flow at colder temperatures, and uniform filtering - no 10 microns here, and 80 microns there, as is the case with paper elements. I might have the second oldest K&P reusable. Got it from Fred many rallies ago. I'd recommend it highly. But a word of caution: The grommets eventually get hard and then don't seal. I'd replace them every other oil change or so. Bogdan> Ssooooo What do you guys think about reuseble SS oil filters. Something > like K&N makes? > Any pro's and con's > > Thanks > Russ >

Works great. Seconds to clean in kerosene or any appropriate solvent.
Very fine mesh. Excellent flow, especially during start-up when the
oil is cold and thick. Never have to go looking for a spare filter.
No fears of paper in the oil strainer screen as some list members
have reported. Got mine from Fred H.

Need to change the life blood on my A16. Can someone tell me what the oil filter number is, preferably the aftermarket and not Kawasaki number? Thanks!

Read the FAQs for the Fram, Wix, Napa oil filter part numbers.
Save yourself some bucks.

I have taken the collective advice of the group and attmepted to
purchase a purolator or emgo oil filter. The trouble is, is that I
cannot locate a place that carries a decent selection of motorcycle
filter. Everyone seems to carry fram but not purolator and definitly
not emgo. Where is everyone else getting theres. Later.
