new battery charging
I recently replaced the battery in a Honda Spree. The instructions included
a table which showed charging times for different amperages, including 2
amp. Follow the instructions in Jeff's post and you should be fine. One
note to add was that it called for charging the battery at temps above 65
(?) degrees so I did it in my basement rather than the garage.

<><><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><><><> Kevin, I'm sure you know this and didn't have a safety issue but I'd like to point out for others... Charging a battery creates explosive and dangerous gasses. Make sure if you decide to charge a battery inside you have no pilot lights or appliances that could ignite the gasses. I'd never charge a battery inside my house. I've got a gas furnace, water heater, stove and oven. In my shop I've got a gas heater which I can easily control so it won't turn on if I'm doing something that causes an explosive environment. Jeff, I think the concern with charging motorcycle batteries is greatly diminished if there is open air around the battery, you use a trickle charger, and you do not provide and ignition source next to the battery. new battery charging
I never had a problem with my car battery type charger
on MC batteries, just watch it as Jeff says.
And it will NOT take that long, the 12,7 mark is
reached relatively fast, so don t go away, put a
voltmeter on it permanently, and watch it.
I replaced my lost mirror, I bought a set of fine
mirrors for 6 dollars, and used some 4 minutes steel
epoxy from two little tubes, and voil , ready to roll,
untill the next time I mess around in a ditch.

new battery charging
I got one of these from Harbor Freight.
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=42292
Has a very low charge 600mAmp. I have checked output and its right on. It would take a long time to charge your battery, but slow and safe is the way to go.
Price is $6.99, but you can get it for less with coupons and specials they have out there!

n-klr generators?
Hey all
I looking at Generators less then $1000. (5000watts)at this time I only "need" it a fews days a year at the tractor shows to run my Ac in the camper etc. (but who knows once i have it, I may use it to weld some where beside the garrage.
BIG question I seen a "Honeywell" today at family home& farm.
I know the name with HVAC, But have never heard of it when it comes to Generators.
Anyone used one? Know how they are??

new battery charging
I added the sulphuric acid to the new Yausa over an hour ago and I'm about to trickle charge it with my auto battery charger. However, the lowest output from my charger is 2 amps. The sticker on the battery says 1.2 amps for 5 - 10 hours. Do you know if 2 amps at maybe 3 - 4 hours would harm the battery or create a hazard?
