There a guy with a smile on his face in Boise that has some in stock. Made from 7075T6511, much stronger than the commonly used 6061T6511. See Happy-Trail.com Mike Eagle Mfg & Eng San Diego, Ca.

you know you can go to a metal shop, buy a piece of flat bar alu and build you own lowering links if you have a good ruler, center punch and drill. As for the side stand, I took mine off cut off an inch welded it up.; Later when I went back to stock hieght, cut the weld out, made a section from a small piece of pipe and welded it back to gether. I know some don't have the equipment to do this but just letting you know it's been done in the garage often. Oh yeah, on Fred, I don't care what he charges, I get professional advice, no bs , quick orders and it fits and works. That worth a lot of money to me. Andy in Louisiana 60 and trucking A14 R1150GSA

I have a set of 1.5" lowering links I removed from my KLR. Anybody need some? All I want is enough to cover shipping.

I have seen several places to get lowering links on the net. Is there any that are better than others? I have also just recently come accross a place called Scootworks, There links can be adjusted to one two or three inches lower. does anyone know anything about these links or even the company. Any advise would be appreciated as I am pretty new to the klr. thanx jim

Do a search on "scootworks" -- I just asked about those links last week and got some informative replies. Art

I installed the Scootworks kit on my A16 (2002) last summer. It gave excellent results. It is adjustable from 1 to 3 inches. Be forewarned though, if you go the full 3 inches lower, you won't be doing too much off road riding. The bike really becomes a "cruiser". Martin in Canada.
