my bike will not start, or turn.. it appears that the timeing chain is broke and in pieces, is this a serious problem.. has anyone ever delt with this b4? pleas help thanks, shaun

Seems to me that Bill is asking a reasonable question on how to filter posts on this KLR related list. I used to get my messages in digest form and I too could never figure out how to put a filter on the digest contents. When in digest mode I had to take the KLR with the NKLR. I switched to individual e-mail so a filter could be used if desired with my e-mail provider. Now I usually just use my delete key but in digest mode I had to use the page down key. As to your suggestion that Bill's comment suggesting NKLR posts could be drivel is harsh because he doesn't have any posts you could find in the 4,000 messages you searched... well, looking up the definition of drivel it seems to me he nailed it pretty well. Maybe consider the purpose of this list and the contents of most of the NKLR posts in the last week or so and drivel seems to be giving many of the NKLR posts the benefit of the doubt. As long as they have NKLR in the subject line it appears they are ok on the list but it still doesn't change the contents of the posts or the purpose of this list. The timing chain keeps the cam(s)/valves in time with the crankshaft/piston movement. If the cam(s) get out of time internal engine parts can get damaged beyond reasonable repair. My suggestion to you is don't try to turn the engine over until you've opened it enough to discover problems/issues and have corrected them. I don't have KLR250 experience.
