Any word on Shinko E700s tires? Local shop carries these as the best aggressive tread for dual sport.

Couldn't tell you, but I have my E705's ready to slap on and people say great things about them this far - and not only due to price. I think the rear was $48 and the front was a few bucks less. -----Original Message----- From: DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com [mailto:DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of Ron Haraseth Any word on Shinko E700s tires? Not sure what they mean by "best aggressive tread" but there are certainly "more" aggressive treads available. Look at the Dunlop D606, Pirelli MT21, etc. da Vermonster no knowledge about the Shinko tire, but it looks like a knockoff of the OEM tire that comes on a KLR...

I hope this isn't a dumb question but I am ready to do a first front tire change at 7,500 miles on my KLR08. The Shinko tire I see listed at bikebandit.com says it is tubeless but my understanding is that I need a tire with a tube? What is the difference between the E700 and the E705? What am I missing? Any advice appreciated. Larry -- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, "The Reverend" wrote:

For those who have the Shinko E705 on front of their KLR650's and bought from bikebandit.com, what tube did you buy with it? Would the Michelin 90/90-21 TR-4 TR 8, 8mm fit it? Larry

There's NO problem running tubeless tires w/ a tube in them. Or you can convert your rims to tubeless... but that doesn't ALWAYS work! Ed PS I've a set of E705s for my next tire change, and I MIGHT go tubeless...!

The grey one has a smaller internal opening, probably large enough to flow adequate fuel and likely stronger. The whole 8 pieces cost as much as the dealer wanted for one o-ring on the fuel inlet! No association with Bikerbandit other than a happy customer. >
I don't remember the color of my vent fitting, but the fuel inlet on mine is black. Color aside, I would go with the larger ID for fuel.
