klr spark plugs

Kind of what the previous poster was meaning is you have it backwards, in that the KLR, as well as pretty much all vehicles sold in the last 20 years are a bit on the lean side from the factory. Addition of hi flow air cleaners and exhaust make the problem worse. The jet kits Richen, not lean the A/F ratio. Typically, a high performance engine needs a Cooler, not hotter plug. More power means more heat, and an over hot plug can become a source of detonation. And if it was well known that plug X gave more power, then we would all have one. Don't believe the BS based on one dyno run. There may have been factors specific to that particular engine at that particular time. Jeff A20 In a message dated 7/3/2009 4:20:24 P.M. few review and one chap says it added half a horsepower to his bike when on a dyno. Possibly a good addition to a jet kit with it being a hotter plug, and the bike will probably be running leaner after rejet?

Please don't take this the wrong way, but your post suggests you would do well to enlist the aid of an experienced bike mechanic for all your tuning work. **************A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above.
