Hi fred and list, Me again, i`m trying to get some guys from out east here to go to the rally ,they are all on KLR`s. My first question is would it be a good idea to bring my registered DRZ 400 E Also (along w/ the KLR)?In other words most people are doing KLR trails(witch is fine w/ me)but are there many people doing more difficult trails that require a dirt bike (reg.)? in other words is there a lot of friendly people to hook up with or only a few? ( I don`t want to ride alone, i`ll just KLR it.) For the first time to moab would just going w/ the KLR be my best bet?? Next, i`m going for a full week , and would like to stay in a cabin at the campsite, when should I start thinking about booking to be sure I can get a place (cabin)? I`ve been putting it off because i`m not sure how many people are going w/ me. Thank You so much for your time!! and God Bless You!! Gary, The DRZ is a blast to ride on the area trails. Last year I rode out ( 1st time)on the KLR, which I really enjoyed, but I did the DRZ for the Moab area trails. One other thing to consider; Probably a good idea to ride your KLR if that is what the rest of the guys are riding! There are usually a "few" people to hook-up though. I live in Illinois where there are not many places to ride a DRZ (other than a motocross track) so I've felt that it was almost a shame to own a DRZ and not have it with you while in Moab. (IMO) Regarding the cabin there are some guys who book them a year in advance. Joe in Illinois A13 01 DRZ400E 02 Strom

Hey Bogdan! Good to see you back on the list and we will see you soon in Moab. In case anyone doesn't know by now about the Canyonlands Motor Classic, this all dual sport (basically KLR) rally happens every year the first weekend after Memorial weekend. So in one week all good KLR riders will gather in Moab for lots of fun and great riding. You can find more information about the CMC at: http://www.angelfire.com/ut/moab/cmc.html Hope to see some of you here next week. It looks like a great time. I didn't see where the linked site had suggestions on what to do if your wife won't let you attend? Don R100, A6F (stuck in Pennsylvania)

In my case, my wife rides her own KLR and we've been coming to the Classic together for the last 3 years. Bring your wife, my wife would love to have other women there.
