We had 2 city crashes here yesterday. A sportbike doing a wheelie in
traffic on a freeway lost it. The bike went over the median. No word
on riders condition. Another lost control and hit a guardrail ....
died. Careful, careful out there.

nklr... teen choked to death in motorcycle accident on central
Yesterday (Friday) I saw a guy in St. Paul, MN riding a newer Goldwing. He was hell-bent on getting somewhere in a hurry and seemed totally oblivious that there might be or every had been any salt or sand on the roads. I said a little prayer for his safety.
When I got home I REALLY wanted to start up something. I'd have been satisfied just to hear it run.
I'm currently restoring a 1966 Honda Dream in my garage. Doesn't anyone know where I could find a few small parts for one of these?
Thanks,
Greg

Greg, I own and work on old Jap bikes all the time. Sometimes parts
for these are what we call made from "unobtainium" But seriously, I
belong to a group named the VJMC or Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club,
and have been a member for about 20 years. Great bunch of people with
vast knowlege and willing to share it.I am doing over a 72 honda CL
175, and just took apart a wheel to clean it, now i have to re-lace
it. My 1986 Kawaker KL 600 is considered a vintage japanese bike. I
may be trading this KLR for a plow for my PU, The old yard truck does
not seem to be acting well lately.
