tank bag

Yet to pull the trigger on a Tank Bag, but for those who just need a little space, I picked up a ATV Handlebar Bag and strapped it to the backside of the handlebars, makes little contact at full turn. Looks like a Fanny pack almost, which might also work. Keep a small things in it in a ziplock bag, and just a few basic things, depending on what I am doing. ATV Logic I think is the brand. Just an idea. Dooden A15 Green Ape -9 F so needless to say not been riding in a while.... -- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, David Bell wrote:

I believe that the more room you have in there, the more you can accumulate a lot of junk you don't need in a tankbag. The quality appears good so far and for gassing up, you can unsnap one of the rear straps, swing the bag out of the way, gas up, and put it back.

I like the Wolfman Enduro on my DR-Z, since the bike's tank is so small (even my aftermarket IMS tank is narrow on top). It's not real big, so if something larger would fit, I'd use it. Always preferred something larger on the KLR, so I have the Explorer. In between, are the Denali and one other I can't recall right now. Both will give you more space than the Enduro and are what I'd choose if the Exlplorer is too large for you (it can get in the way if you stuff if full, and there's alwyas that temptation). I'm waiting for Eric's re-design of the Denali to see how it fits the cramped space on my F800GS. __Arden --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, "sourdoughmedic" wrote:

Larry, I have a Wolfman Explorer. It was on my GS and now my KLR. It has a specific strap set for the KLR and fits snug as could be. I have a lot of miles on it and it has always worked well. I haven't looked into the Enduro but I like Wolfman a lot. Consider one that expands like the Explorer. You never know when a jacket or bag of groceries will need to go in there. The Explorer is pretty small and out of the way until I unzip the expander. Then it will hold a grocery bag upright with no issue. I like the removable map case and have an extra so I can load up 4 visible routes in the map cases and just swap them or flip them easily I wouldn't ever ride a bike again without an expandable tank bag. Mine Is listed in here with what it carries normally but I haven't loaded pictures of it mounted yet. http://www.ginsucity.com/klr650-packing

I use a Teknic bag from Cycle Gear online (?) at $39.95. Holds lots and looks perfect on the KLR. Ed
