big gun exhaust for klr

Post by Jim Bolton » Mon Nov 10, 2008 8:14 pm

Why do we always seperate when we should be on the same side ?. Its strange that as a group we like to "Farkle" but yet if someone does something that someone else doesnt like the banter turns on the individual that is doing the changes. There must be a reason why there are things made for the KLR to inprove or add to it. I like a low rumble on my bike and I like the weight loss hence the Big Gun quiet series.. I think that its dam foolish to put aluminum boxs on your bike to get groceries or to take a 2 day trip...its total overkill in my opinion but I would not give a guy grief cuz he wants to do it..... nor would I give a guy crap for putting a centerstand or a set of warmers or rewiring the whole bike....maybe the freedom of choice and the ability and the money is there to do the project......so farkle away..... its way to much for me to keep up with all the other changes that people make... Some people have way to much time on their hands and hence the giving of crap for doing things different then them. I hope that god forbid I didnt say something that makes the whole klr world go ape shit about what I said........ I just think that we need to realize that as a group there will be differences and personal touchs to a bike are just that....PERSONAL TOUCHS.... We now return to our regular sessions of crap giving or politics... YOU PIC.....

Well following that logic a stock bike with aluminum bags cutting across someone elses land would not be a problem.... just a bike with a pipe.... sort of strange that you think that its the pipe that is causing all the problems and not the riders.... or the way that they ride their stock quiet bikes on paths or land that is not theirs to ride on.....oh yea... guns don't kill people ...... people kill people... same logic.......

Sooo, loud pipes don't annoy anybody unless the rider starts the bike? I think we'd better just say it's the pipes and leave it at that. ;-{>

I think that its motorcycles in general and the riders and the way they ride that annoy non riders.... pipes just add a little more to it.... a wheelie is a wheelie with or with out a pipe.. a stoppie is a stoppie with or without a pipe... a motorcycle parked and not running in the wrong spot is just as annoying as a bike with a pipe... could it be that its just a annoyance to people that don't like bikes that causes all the problems and not just the pipe... I don't buy it... you can't blame the pipe for all the problems that motorcycles cause.. we are free spirits and we do a lot of things that others don't like... cuz its how we are wired.....

I'm not just talking about people who don't ride. Parked motorcycles don't annoy me, nor do wheelies. I thought it was enough to blame the pipe for the problems that loud pipes cause. I tried to stop you from going there, but you have persuaded me: it's not the pipes, it's the jerks who put them on their bikes. ;-{>

People in glass houses should not throw stones..I believe your house is glass because you ride a motorcycle. Who are you to judge a person to be a jerk because he puts a pipe on his bike... He who does this may have his reasons and he would not care for your close minded views. Just because I want something different does not make me a jerk. Nor does riding a different style bike or brand of bike or not riding bikes at all. Your judgmental attitude is the reason that we have wars and and humans as a whole can not get a long... because of differences... skin, hair, religion, politics... you name it.. if I don't believe the way you do, than I am a jerk..thats friggen sad... I sir believe that you should live and let others live and quit being so narrow minded in your attempt to prove your point. I agree that a gsxr with a racing pipe going buy a guy at 80 while passing a car can scare the hell out of a car driver... but that doesn't make the guy with the pipe on his gsxr a jerk... It sure didn't take long for you to show your real colors and prove that your just another old geezer that complaines about others that will not do things his way.."Dam kids...the noise bikes and loud womenn......(FIst shaking just barely because of old age ). Why not get back on the porch and get to that rocking chair....cuz your not far from it..... If the music is to loud than your just to old to enjoy it..... PS.... the neigbors next door that will not talk to you think your a jerk................cuz he has a KTM 990.......OH MY !!!! PS>..... you made me do it.......and to return the favor......jerk....
