I don't know about my fellow flag-waving KLR-riding Americans but conspiracy, money laundering, torture, perjury, obstruction of justice, accepting bribes, corruption, abuse of power, and chasing after male interns seems a lot more serious than Bill Clinton's poor judgment (nothing illegal about adultery, though) or Barney Frank's scandalous homosexuality.

Oh the list is long and distinguished... You get real crooks like Nixon as President the felon should have gone to prison. Instead, Gerald Ford comes along and give him a full pardon. I understood your meaning...I just worded my response poorly and do not take exception to your remark. Canada and the US rely on each other more than either government care to admit....and we are both the better for it. I don't know a single Canadian that takes exception to the fact that Americans get 54% of their oil from us. Royalties are only $2/barrel but thousands of high paying jobs are created...plus it reduces the flow of capital to Middle Eastern countries. What we do take exception to, are recent statements by John McCain claiming that the US should drill, drill, drill, because Canada may make a sweetheart with China and cut off supplies of oil to the US. That is more fear mongering that serves no constructive purpose other than his election ambitions. NAFTA: NAFTA prohibits the Canadian government from imposing (under normal conditions) any restriction that causes U.S. imports of Canadian energy to fall. Have a swell day,eh? LB
