Those pressure sensing caps must, if you think about it, must push down on the valve in order to know the pressure inside the tube. Therefore, the sealing of your tire is dependent on however well the sensing cap seals against the rim of the valve tube. Threads aren't intended to seal. A regular cap seals on the valve tube edge, with the threads providing the tension. And it's only a backup to the primary sealing valve core, down inside. Remove the sensing caps, throw they in the round file, then buy steel end caps, having the little valve removal doohicky in the other end, and install them. If you ever have to fix a flat in the woods, those end caps will come in handy.>Instead of the regular >valve stem caps I have ones that show green if the air pressure is OK >and red if the pressure is low. There you go. The air was leaking out around the threads. Lose the sensing caps. - Dave Svoboda, Sandy Eggo>I filled the tire up and got out my spray bottle with dish >soap and water and begun to spray the hole tire looking for air >bubbles. > >I thought I may have picked up something when I rode around the block >a few times.
