The wife dropped out KLR 650 yesterday. No injury, but the fall broke the cluck lever and the mirror bracket. Should I go to Kaw or is there a good alternitive parts source around here? Thanks, Tony in Mississippi

It sounds like she's not able to cluck very well at the moment. The mirror may be more important, depending on which model wife you have. If you can't find a cluck lever in the chicken dept. try Fred at Arrowhead Motorsports. Wishing you the best of cluck

I am outfitting my 05 for an adventure trip and am looking for a aluminum skid plate, radiator and water pump protector, aftermarket clutch protection, luggage rack and some kind of side box. Anybody have any good items that you will sell? Any suggestions on where the most reasonable place would be to pick up new stuff?? Thanks, Walt in Tampa, Fl PS I am going to ride thru upper Labrador from Newfoundland and return thru Quebec. Will start in early Aug. Anyone want to come along?

Hi Walt, Fred is Fred Hink of Arrowhead Motorsports. www.angelfire.com/ut/moab/index.html. Fred is the guy for all things KLR. Try out his website. Just tell him I sent you and you want a special deal on flying pigs. Fred is the first honest internet dealer ever. He has the reputation for getting parts to you quicker than anyone else; the best part is that he runs his business out of a big steel barn in Moab. I'd venture a guess that 95% of the people on this list have purchased at least one thing from Fred and 99% of them have high praise for his service and prices. Fred also sponsors the CMC in Moab over the last weekend in May. I haven't been able to go yet.............someday!!!! And no, I'm not a salesman for him; just a very satisfied customer. There are a lot of seedy characters that hang out around his steel barn. Take protection with you if you venture there. Criswell

When I first joined this list and heard about Fred I was skeptical. "Why would I want to order parts from a guy I don't know, plus he's all the way out in Utah?" I tell you what, Fred has the fastest shipping of anyone by far. I'm in Minnesota and I will usually have an order the second day in the mail. Some places will give you a deal on the parts, but gouge you on the shipping to make up thier profit. Fred sells for a fair price and the shipping is cheap compared to the rest. He is THE FIRST guy I call for any parts, and I have never been disappointed. He has also been kind enough to take the time to answer my questions and give me advice over the phone. He even shipped me a package from an internet order late Christmas Eve when he should have been home relaxing. To top it all off, I'm pretty sure he is working alone, so he's the guy ordering the parts to sent to you, answering the phone, packing your order, taking care of internet orders and giving us advice on this list. I am so impressed with Fred and his service that I have even ordered some clothing that he normally doesn't have on hand and waited a few extra days for him to get it from the manufacturer because I am so impressed with him. I don't give compliments like this very freely, but Fred is deserving of all the good things you'll hear about him on this list. Ross Lindberg Fertile, MN
