price comparison
There are only 3 rules, and none of them mention price comparisons.
However, if you're going to compare the price of Chinese knock-offs to
those of American designed and built parts you might get some flak.
It's also uncool to dis Fred.
Prices are prices, but there's more to a purchase than money.
So, what have you got?

balancer chain clearance!
Finally got around to changing the doohickey, (which was ok.) after
replacing the spring (which was weak) I notice the bal chain was very
close to the right lower side of the casing where one of the casing
bolts would go, I mean less than 1 mm. Has anyone else come across
this? I thought that I read on the web somewhere that one dude shaved
off part of the casing but was unable to find that page again.. or
perhaps the chain / guides are worn and more $ is needed? The
adjustment bolt was placed in the middle of the old doohickey and the
engine was nice and quite and clean before the doohickey upgrade
Thanks
George
