Agreed - at 6' 2" the 11+ is great for moving air, but the only time I look THRU it is when I am hunkered down due to bad weather, incl. dust storms. Oh, I use the clear model. Doing the hunker down at night behind a non-clear model, well, I don't think so... :-\ Mike Torst Las Vegas

Hi , I have a 9 " over stock windshield and like it for the highway but don't like it for off-road. I'm thinking of getting a 4" over stock. My Question is , does the 4 over make much of a difference compared to the stock one?? is it worth spending $80.00 ??? When I went to moab I took off the 9" over and put on the stock one BUT I'm doing a trip that I can't really leave the 9" one anywhere unless I leave it in the woods BUT I'm not sure I'll be in the same place twice. I'm hoping the 4" over will give me some protection on the highway and I can still leave it on for off-road?? Does anybody have any input?????????????? Well, I'm about 5' 9" and generally sit with an old biker slump. I started running about a 6" over I think. I got it off Ebay last year or the year before that and it's doing good for me so far. I'll get a bit of buffing if I'm running fast against hard wind but if I slow a bit then It's not a problem. Guess you'll just have to try one out. Heck my shop and storage building are full of things that didn't work thru the years on my bikes One day I'll move that stuff I keep tell me.

Hi Andy, I heard that keeping all that stuff that does not work, or might be needed later, is how parents with grown children get even with their children, making them sort through years and tears of "useful stuff." At least that is what it looked like my Grandpa did to my mom, and now it is what I think she is doing to us kids...unfortunatly, my momma/daddy does not have any motorcycle parts. revmaaatin.

I"m 6', use the 11" taller and still get beat up. I added another 3 inches with a strip of plastic taped along the top edge. It really cuts down on the buffeting. I run at 20 degrees F with no problems. It took some trial and error. No windshield is best. The wind blast is much "cleaner" and doesn't buffet me around but it is much colder.

hey! Why end up with a garage full of stuff you can only get 20 cents on the dollar for and will likely never get anything cause you don't have or want to take the time to do it. That is a great idea~ I did tell my daughter about 3 years of so back when she was telling me I needed to clean my shop. You clean it , it's yours when I die anyway LOL. Oh I remember it took months to clear up the old house when Mom died so we could sell it. Geesh that woman had some STUFF. Andy in Louisiana

In the process of moving my mom to an apartment after my dad passed away we hauled over three tons of stuff to the dump that she never noticed was missing. Apparently they had a problem with not throwing out old newspapers - or anything else. I'm glad he didn't get rid of his '78 Honda CX500 that I'm now trying to find time to restore, but I wish he had kept his '74 Jawa 350 Californian too. Mike A18
